Section A - General information Introduction The 75 & ZT Wiki ![]() This Wiki is about the Rover 75 and the MG ZT, which were produced by the Rover Group (later known as MG Rover Group) for a period of just over six years from late 1998 through to April 2005. It is intended as a guide to help the owners of these vehicles to enjoy, maintain and preserve them, and also to provide some background information about their design, development and production. Help with your vehicle If you need help with anything that is not covered in this Wiki, please feel free to post a question on the 75 & ZT Enthusiasts forum (registration required). If you are a new Rover 75 or MG ZT owner, have a look at our new owner's checklist; you may also like to contact some of the specialist companies listed here, or take a look at our partnerships page. You can also contact 75&ZT Enthusiasts on facebook and see more of our activities there. There are many other resources available providing information about the Rover 75 and MG ZT, including the two main Wikipedia articles, which are listed at the end of this section under the heading of external links. Similar references to other Wikipedia articles also appear throughout this Rover 75 and MG ZT Wiki. Additional information is available from owners' clubs and other groups around the world, and links to these other sources of information may be found at the end of the main Wikipedia articles, and on the internet generally. Many of these groups provide an on-line forum. Regular meetings of Rover 75 and MG ZT owners also take place, and are a good source of practical assistance and advice. The Rover 75 was developed and manufactured during a period when the Rover Group was owned by BMW. Some aspects of the design are therefore similar to BMW vehicles of that period, including in particular the BMW 3-series (E46). This is equally applicable to the MG ZT models. Some components are also common to other Rover Group vehicles, such as the Rover 25, Rover 45, and MG TF, as well as vehicles produced by Land Rover (such as the Freelander). Parts suppliers are often a good source of information, and will usually help if they can. Amendments, corrections and additions Suggestions for amendments and corrections are welcome, and contact details can be found on the 75 & ZT Enthusiasts forum. New contributions are also welcome. If you see a need for something new to be added, please take a moment to read the editorial policy below. Editorial policy The 75 & ZT Wiki is intended to provide useful and educational information that is specific to the Rover 75 and MG ZT, rather than background information that would apply to any road vehicle. Its aim is to help the Rover 75 or MG ZT owner by bridging the gap between the general information that is already widely available, and the more detailed discussion that takes place on the forums. It is not intended to be a substitute for a good workshop manual or professional advice. When preparing a contribution, please also bear in mind the following:
