2003 MG ZT-T CDTi Auto Project **NLA**

Post Number:#1  Post by Petetourer » January 10th, 2014, 7:30

Hi all.

as some of you may of read I bought this a a a project. The issue it has is that it will not start unless easy start is used. T4 pointed to the HP fuel pump regulator and I have now changes it twice. It seems to temporarily fix the issue, but take the car on a 30 min drive, and it seems to fail again???

Once started it will take you anywhere and is a nice drive. I brought it back from Birmingham and have driven a fair few miles in it with no other problems.

It's taxed and MoT'd till the end of Feb, has a part service history and 4 good tyres on mint condition black Straights. It's covered around 157,500 miles. It is registered as a Cat C and has had the important VIC check. I believe it was front end damage as it currently has reflector headlights, but should have Xenons. Rear bumper could do with some paint as well.

Interior is ok, could so with a good clean or maybe stick a new one in?

I am pretty sure that the problem is electrical now, but I need a diesel estate ASAP and as I am moving house at the moment in just can't spend anymore time on it.

I currently only have the V5c, but a full receipt will be given and if the V5 has not arrived then I can forward it on to you.

See some pics below. I am asking £500.00 for it and this is not open to offers. I hate to say it, but it would break for a lot more.

Give me a shout if you need anything answered.

Cheers

Pete

Just to add...

I have already bought some upgrades for this car, as it was going to be my new daily runner...

I have a Contemporary SE interior, In line Stat, Xenon Headlights with a new set of burners and matching LED Sidelights and a lower engine mount

The new owner will have first dibs on these and could be factored into a deal...

If not, then they will be put of for sale afterwards... The only one I am not sure on is the interior, as I may need this for my next car

Anyone ?

I really think this could be an easy fix now... I have ruled out a lot of the expensive bits myself

I think its just a case of spending some time on the wiring loom now, but to be honest I just do not have time at the moment with work and a house move imminent...

It not even a pain to collect as its taxed and MOT'd and drives perfect... I have driven it at least 300 miles since having it....

So, please some one save it before I have to contemplate another route for the car

Can I ask whether you've solved the problem, or sold it Pete?

I lost faith and have up trying to fix it Mark.... The car had never grabbed me from the start to be honest, so selling was the only route really. It is going to another member if the OC who is going to try and fix it...

As for its replacement.

Watch this space ;)
