The advert says it's a 2005 model year vehicle, and it has date of first registration 17th August 2005, and only 9,200 miles on the clock, so it may well be No. 798? (It could also be No 883, but if it was the last of the line, presumably the advert would say so, which it doesn't.)

I've got VIN #798 down as BU05 PFN and VIN #883 as RX06 GXO so unless they have had a change of reg it's not those two.

Well, if it's a 2005 model year vehicle, then the only other one would be No. 599, but that again has a different reg. So it looks like it's a 2005 registration on a 2004 model year car. If that's the case, then working backwards, the next one could be No. 567? But with that particular colour and trim, it could be quite hard to pin down...

It's mine. It's still in the hands of the insurance co at the moment. I should have a final figure from them this week. I put it on Ebay to see what interest it would get. As it is going for more than buy back price I will settle with the insurance one way or another on Monday and then sell it next weekend so it will be a cat D.

The insurance have agreed not to write it off. They are just going to give me a cash payout for their estimate of the damage and let me keep the car. So I have the choice to fix it myself or sell. I'm selling! So someone nice take it off my hands and return it to its former glory please

For infor:

Final value for Number 483 Black SE Tourer was £5350. But that was sold in need of repair. Insurance quote was £2400 and then there were various other issues and no MOT.

So I'd put full restored value for this 89000 mile 2004 car at about £9K
