it's growing on me :-D

Thankfully most of the "damage" done to the car can be solved by fitting another bonnet, it'll depend on how much damage has been done to the interior with the fitment of the "£2,500 stereo"!?

So, replacement wheels and tyres, new bonnet and hope that the original paint stays on when the carbon "wrap" is taken off and the interior hasn't been decimated (I always get suspicious when there are no pictures) and nearly 100,000 miles!

£8,500?

One to many noughts I would have thought! :(

As it's possible to pick up nice 50,000 examples for around £5,000 in a private sale, that ones a long way from that figure!

Not disputing that Mark, but dubious you'll get one for the 850 figure you mention

I doubt that any seller would take 10% of the asking price, but with the amount of work that car needs to bring it back to standard, realistically, that's probably what it's worth!

So, I'm genuinely interested jake, what do you think that a 100,000 mile V8 is worth that needs potentially £1,500 spending on it?

(£1,000 for the correct wheels and tyres and a bonnet and potentially a roof paint as well, if any of the lacquer comes off when the carbon wrap is removed)

Thanks Derek - I'll add to the pictorial.

Mark, there's a great difference between work needed, and work that you'd to do it, as it's not to your tastes.

The wheels are round, and have decent quality rubber.

My local paint shop charge £120 to paint a bonnet and wing tops, probably another 40 to do the spoiler. Worse case scenario you replaced the bumper with a good used part that costs £40. That said, the bonnet looks to be doing a good job of being a bonnet, but would look better in body colour.

I take your point about the roof, but again, it doesn't NEED doing. If the potential ower removed the wrap, then they suffer the consequences, IF they want to take it off.

The car has had the brakes done, with decent quality parts.

I paid £4,000 for mine which is a few miles short of 95,000 miles, which similarly has had new brakes, a complete new rear stuff up less than 5k miles ago and 4 decent tyres. I'd price this car at something similar. I went to view 4 others in the same price area.

You'd struggle to get a diesel ZT at that age, mileage and history for £850, never mind a V8.

The car is not to my taste but no way is it only worth £850. It's got a full service history, new brakes all round and pushing nearly as much power as a blown one would. As Jake stated its not needing any work other than cosmetic which may even grow on the new owner. Jeez even an old fart like me could grow to like it lol

i have seen this car in the flesh so to spk.it has been disscussed on the owners club.well slagged off on the owners club would be more correct.the carbon wrap on the bonnet by the owners admission was prone to lifting up due to the heat.he did also apart from the other dubious add ons have the door finishers covered in it.personally it looked liked he had raided halfords stick on tacky section.but i was polite to the guy when i taked to him as the car was very clean and the owner was proud of the look he had created.i tend to bite my tongue in public as far as certain mods on our cars go.but as a rule i like the cars as they came out of the factory.add pre project drive parts yes.but as far as the rest a big no.but beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say
