This popped up on Autotrader yesterday morning - Mk1 75 2.5 V6 Connoisseur SE Auto, 23,200 miles, £3,000.

Looks lovely, Damson Red I think and sandstone, fantastic combination.

One owner from new!!

Hope the link works!

Just a pity about the lacquer peel mentioned, otherwise a cracking buy I think.

If the roof and the boot have gone, then the bonnet won't be far behind, I know, because I've just done this on Ed!

So say it needs £900 of paint, is £3,900 a lot of money for this car, of course it is, but would could you buy for less than £4K, that would be as good as this?

A shame that it's got a light oak steering wheel, as opposed to the correct burr walnut, but that could always be changed, along with the incorrect back box!

No mention of belts either, which would be madness not to change, if they haven't been done! :o

Almost tempted myself! :o

That is a walnut wheel, just a later one, which are lighter than the earlier cars.

To me, that’s one to invest in now, keep the miles low and keep on top of history. Provenance for that sort of thing is key though, so if limited history, possibly not an investment.

One owner from new, full spec including headlight protectors, both front cupholders, powerfolds, etc.
Serial no. 280076, build record 21st January 2003. At 23,000 miles, could be a very good project...?
Agree about the steering wheel, but for 2003, the dash trim will be a project drive version, won’t it?

Hmm, though I had posted a reply already??

The back box looks to me to be an OEM with the ultra-rare OEM tailpipe finishers. Not my thing but very desirable to some.

Yes a project Drive car but still a lovely one so that can be forgiven in this case.
