Which Subframe

Hello,

Rimmers have a sale on subframes, and I've decided to purchase one. I am mystified by the choices. I thought all subframes for our cars were identical.
I have a 190 + ZT, 2003 , mk1

Well, I gave them the VIN and the model , and they confirmed which one I needed.
for my car, they determined I needed Part No "KGB00321."
They never enlightened me as to why there are different types.

Good idea.. its a pity as mine arent too bad at the mo..

In my case I am more concerned about the rear ones.. I now have 5 75's and don't intend on getting rid of any at the moment.. I will get a good 2nd hand rear complete subframe from somewhere soon and start to refurb it - then swap it onto one of my 75's.. then refurb that one for the next 75 etc.. I think 2 of my 75's will benefit from that in the next year or two..

will keep an eye open incase the rears come down in price..

Five 75s, wow!
What I have done is register for alerts as to when the rear subframe is back in stock, and will watch to see if the prices go down.

I sometimes wish I didn't have that many.. but.. they just seem to multiply.. lol...

I bought a new subframe, and found the difference to be a mounting point for the power steering pipe clip on the driver side.

I purchased the front subframe from Rimmers. I need to drive up to them to get it. I got it for a good price - £125 + VAT.

I would presume that Rimmers have a whole stack of rear subframes and have taken the view that they have in excess of requirements hence sell some off cheap. If they have no front subframes then presumably they will come in from China or be made in Europe and Rimmers will only order how many they actually want.

I think it's the rear subframe that's NLA, and the front frames that Rimmers are selling at a very reasonable price. Actually shows the rear frame for the 75 as still available. Still a good price for a subframe, allbeit more than twice the price of the fronts currently.
