#185 - Rover 75 V8

Post Number:#1  Post by Jake » May 6th, 2013, 2:28

The 75 and ZT Enthusiasts have assisted with the funding towards the recovery and renovation of #185 - one of the 75 V8 Prototypes.

£250 has been loaned to this project which will see the car back on the road. We hope that this sets a precedent for the recatagorising of cars from B to C or D in instances where the car will be able to returned to the road safely.

More information on the story of #185 to follow soon!

Now at Austin Garages, I moved it Saturday Morning with the Help of Jeremy. They have worked on it all weekend, Nick thinks he has some photos when at the factory as it was parked next to his prototype V8 tourer, he is trying to get them for me.

That's great. I look forward to it. I see that you and I have very similar cars, MGZT-T and V8.

I believe that the new owner is collecting 185 as soon as Austins have finished their work. That's why Wyn and I were under big pressure to return the ECU PDQ, which Dom had kindly let us borrow. Although we had no opportunity to copy the software to our Mustang ECU, we (well Wyn really) did get the opportunity to see 007 running for the first time for probably nine years! :)
