Subframes query

Post Number:#1  Post by brianw119 » September 15th, 2016, 6:08

Hello everyone. I will be making a start in addressing my rusty subframes. I plan on getting both front and rear from a breaker, overhaul them, then do a swap out.

My queries are :

(1) Can I use the subframes from a 75?
(2) Are there any mods I can make to them while building them up?
(3) Is there a guide as to how to remove and refit?
(4) Any pitfalls etc I should be aware of?

Sorry, but no knowledge apart from looking at Rimmers site where subframes for various years of production are not available but indicate to use a particular 75 subframe. However, the subframes for ZTs just state no longer available. Perhaps, if you looked all through the parts of the suspension will give you an informed idea as to whether a 75 subframe would fit and what specific 75 parts you would need to fit.

As I understand the subframes are the same between 75 & ZT, it's just the bushes that differ.
