Pre-Production Rover 75 2.5 Connoisseur - T78 MOA

Post Number:#1  Post by Jake » May 7th, 2013, 2:17

Introducing the first Enthusiasts' Car:

T78 MOA: 1999 Rover 75 2.5 V6 Connoisseur VIN: 001482 - Pre Production

Image

The Enthusiasts’ working with Roland Wilson and Lewis (Cowley_MOA) are pleased to announce that this early pre-production, top specification vehicle will be moving from its current residence in Essex to Lincolnshire.

Although in superb condition, replacement belts, water pump and thermostat are to be fitted and the car presented for MOT. We intend to have this car on display at events later this year and from that point forward at all major events.

Image

To go with the already comprehensive history, the Enthusiasts will catalogue our custody of this car from collection onwards, including the cars’ travels and maintenance.

Image

The car has been purchased privately, with its purchase and upkeep paid for with private, not the Enthusiasts’ funds. The idea behind this is that funds donated by members are kept allocated for projects that will benefit many.

Excellent result guys! :hail:

A lovely looking car, with an interesting history and one worthy of being saved and shown at events! :)

Well done Team!

I think I saw another TxxxMOA in Atlantic this evening, not far from me. I didn't get the full reg as when I looked at the back to see it the rear plate was missing.

Time for an update.

Came back from my first day at my new job, to find something on the driveway:

I will get some more photos tomorrow as I should be back at a better time, our sincerest thanks to Lewis for working with us on this, and the boot-load of parts he also sent!

She looks a bonny girl there, I’m glad she’s gone to a good home too- in fact I can’t think of a better one!

Glad you got the transport sorted OK Jake!

Car looks great, although it'll stick out like a sore thumb, not being a Tourer!! ;)

Given the history and its heritage, I am relieved to see the club has taken over this special car in keeping it going for all to see.

We take the view that we do what we can but also try to be a good role model :-) We cannot save them all but we can show other people and help other people to do the same sort of thing! We are really excited about this latest development and we are very grateful to Lewis in facilitating the whole affair. This car, alongside the Midsomer Murders car, will be driveable showpieces that will help us raise awareness with the general population of owners who remain unaware of what is being done to help them keep their cars. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the interest, support and generosity of the owners here at 75&ZT Enthusiasts!
