Looks like a gorgeous example! Great to see an early, and unusual example preserved for the future! Best of luck with the MOT!

I think that is occurring this coming week Nige.

I saw the car for the first time yesterday. Fabulous interior and a lovely colour but she is in need of some TLC....well worth spending the time on her though!

Sadly not Steve, the car is going to need at least the belts, water pump and thermostat changing, as well as an MOT. Had the ZT-T not been stripped down to a rolling shell ready for rebuild we'd have stood a slim chance of Silverstone, but time and sadly finances (as although used for the club, the purchase, running and maintenance is paid for out of my own funds, rather than the clubs.) and time (due to the ZT-T rebuild) is going to result in the project going to be a little later on the road than I'd hoped!

The MOT is currently being held up trying to get some realistic temporary insurance cover which is proving a challenge,

The upside of the car not being ready for this season is that I can spend more time on trying to get the car to a suitable condition.

Good luck with the MOT. A great project and good to see her saved while so many have sadly gone to the breakers - and often so unnecessarily too!

Thanks Roger! Right, the car will be going in for an MOT this week. After much hassle, I've got a garage to come and collect the car, as insurance was just stupid expensive!

We are really excited about this latest development and we are very grateful to Lewis in facilitating the whole affair. This car, alongside the Midsomer Murders car, will be driveable showpieces that will help us raise awareness with the general population of owners who remain unaware of what is being done to help them keep their cars. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the interest, support and generosity of the owners here at 75&ZT Enthusiasts!

Well the car was going to go for an MOT this afternoon, however when doing a quick pre-MOT check over the car this morning, it appears that all the lights stopped working! :-S

We had a slight worry a few weeks ago, when the headlights started flashing between left and right, but took it as the car has been stood. However today, I've one indicator, one headlight and fogs and that's it. The pass-side plenum was dry, and no visible damage to the bumper or headlight looms when the bumper fell off only being held by the top bolts. Removing the glovebox though in order to get to the BCU - of which one of the connectors to the unit is broken, presented the following:

Ambulances do this don't they? Never been used as one, or at least a paramedic's car, has it?

Fast response cars are usually white, silver or black. Fire marshals use red cars, never seen one in blue before

I can account for the history of this, so safe to say it wasn't any of those, it's just been bodged.
