Simply fantastic!! :hail: :hail:

Really glad to see that the cambelt tensioner pulley has been adjusted, shame that Haynes and apparently RAVE don't mention this! At least you won't have the problems I had.

Oh, and are you retrofitting the interior alarm sensor here?

The car came part of it, as part of its very odd specification. Sadly the headlining had been ronnied when we got it, so we replaced it, but had to cut the hole! :-D

6 months work.....incredible...

Especially when compared to so-called rescue projects elsewhere... 4 years on this month.

I know no-one believes this, but obsolescence is almost never built in (only things like chipped printer cartridges spring to mind as truly being intentionally this way). Engineers honestly try to make something that will last but cost is always an issue. I have never ever come across something designed to fail. I can say I have come across things that in hindsight are bound to fail, though!

Well we're nearly there. With the exception of a little paintwork and an MOT, the car is ready for display next season. Whilst doing some archiving, I came across some original interior photos from when we were looking at the car, and a comparison shot if it a few evenings ago.

The car has been wrapped up inside for winter, but final phase is now in swing. The car is booked in for MOT on Saturday! Insurance kindly sorted out with Peter Best as well. It's then just a quick trip to the painters and we're ready to go!
