WBAC give a figure of £250.00

But even the most optimistic of us wouldn't go this high surely?

Perhaps the reg plate sums the value up a treat???

Not a bad mark-up either, given Steve had listed it for a grand elsewhere!

Yebbut, you only need one buyer to agree the valuation & that one buyer probably wouldn't have bothered looking at it priced at £1k.
You get a lot of car for your £4k, but for £1k you only get a £1k motor innit

The seller has made himself look a little foolish by putting a £3,000 mark up (now £2,000) across the car! :(

The car is a nice example, but the modifications will limit it's appeal and I would have thought that £1,000 mark up on this age of car (£1,995) is plenty! :(

The value is in the cheque book of the buyer.
"investors" are now paying as much for a rusty pile of "classic" scrap as they are for a running, but cosmetically challenged classic bike.
When I was in retail, I was training staff in a posh jewellers early one morning in the West End. A guy rushed in said he wanted a watch, he'd just broken his on his way to work. The manager reached for a £13 Timex, but I stepped forward with a £10k something or other. The customer bought a £7k watch less than 5 mins later - it told the same time as the £13 Timex.
What's a £1k car to us, could well be a £4k car to someone wanting to join us & we wouldn't make a friend by saying he could have done a better deal by joining us before buying a car.

He's a dealer so I don't see anything wrong with maximising your profit. At least at that price you can move for someone who's interested in purchasing the car. I'm at a loss as to why people criticise the price of our cars, surely this is how it should be to get prices up and the dealer is leading by example in my book
