Dissolving of The 75&ZT Enthusiasts Ltd Company.

Post Number:#1  Post by Zeb » November 5th, 2018, 6:01

After much thought, Jake, Dave and myself have taken the decision to liquidate the company. Please note this does NOT mean the demise of the club!

This is owing to the fact that running the club as a not for profit business is simply too time consuming and onerous on top of all our other commitments and we simply do not see any great demand for what we have been offering through being a Company.

As the Company is Limited by Guarantee we will not be profiting in any way from the liquidation. The plan is to return to simply being an organisation run on donations, with minimal expenditure.

Hence the Enthusiasts will remain but any events or activities will be down to the members and not us. Where we can, we will facilitate people's efforts but we will no longer be taking on any events or shows ourselves. At least we went out with a bang with Gaydon 2018!

The Enthusiasts will not be restoring any further vehicles. Although in an individual private capacity some of us will be continuing such work! Where we can, we will facilitate members in helping to preserve the marque however.

Equally, we will not be attempting to publish any further magazines. Without sufficient contributions from members we cannot sustain it. On the bright side, if you have one of the first three issues, then you have something rare and collectable now!

We will not be commissioning any further Enthusiasts merchandise. Again, collectors items one day maybe!

Members who currently have an active subscription. Your increased access will remain until your subscription runs out. When all subscriptions have finished then the current system will change.

At the advice of our accountant, all recurring subscriptions have been stopped. However, once the accounts and liquidation has been finalised we will once again be happy to accept donations to keep the website up and running!

A new, less ambitious chapter will begin but one which will enable us to quietly continue until such a time as there is sufficient demand and sufficient support for what had originally been envisaged.

Thank you for reading this.

Lean and mean thats what is needed. The Two-sixties is run this way and successfully, but I would say that. :)

We also are parasitic when it comes to car shows and events, Booklands, etc
I'll do a sig once I figure out how to plop one on................

Keep going - this is a fantastic resource for Rover 75 / MG ZT owners. Really impressed with the Wiki part. A lot of time and effort has gone into this.
